School admissionsYarrells welcomes children of all faiths, cultures, races and family backgrounds. We are very happy to admit a child with a disability as long as both parents and school conclude that Yarrells can provide correctly for the child's specific needs. Admission into Early Years and Pre-preparatory is based on a parental visit with the Headmistress and a tour of the school. The child will then be invited to a “taster” visit for a morning (in Early Years, with their parent) or a whole day, after which entry plans will be discussed. A child's entry to the Preparatory School (ages 7–13) is subject to interview with the Headmistress and assessment during a subsequent day's visit. Pupils may be admitted throughout the year although entry at the start of the school year in September is preferable. Before making a formal application to the school, we recommend that you visit us by appointment to see for yourself the workings of the school during a normal school day. After that, should you wish to take an application further, we will provide you with a full brochure pack and relevant forms required for the application process. Yarrells' Registrar is the school's secretary, Christine Gardner. To make an appointment for a visit, please contact Mrs Gardner using the details on the webpage header.
