Art & Design
In Art and Design classes, children throughout the school are encouraged to rove creatively through many projects and media including painting, drawing, collage, textiles, sculpture, puppet-making, pottery, costume and scenery design, calligraphy and digital design.
Studying design and a range of construction techniques encourages innovative problem solving. Senior Art and Design is taught by specialist staff in a dedicated, well-stocked art room. Pupils study Art History and develop skills in critical appreciation.
Eligible pupils can elect to join the Art Workshops and Digital Art groups after school. To expand interests and enhance appreciation, pupils are taken to exhibitions and galleries locally, in London and sometimes Paris.
