Healthy Eating

Children are provided with healthy meals and snacks prepared by our excellent catering team. A choice of a nutritious hot or cold meal is served at lunchtime. Fruit, biscuits and milk or water are served at mid-morning and afternoon break times.

WEEKLY LUNCH MENU

Week Commencing:  Monday 25 June

MONDAY

Main Course: Chilli con carne served with rice and green beans

Vegetarian: Mixed bean chilli served with rice and green beans

Dessert:  Yoghurt

TUESDAY

Main Course:  Chicken in a tomato and basil sauce served with pasta and broccoli

Vegetarian: Vegetable pasta bake served with broccoli

Dessert: Treacle tart served with cream

WEDNESDAY   

Main Course: Shepherd’s pie served with carrots

Vegetarian: Tomato and lentil pie served with carrots

Dessert: Fruit

THURSDAY  

Main Course: Beef curry served with rice and cauliflower

Vegetarian:  Vegetable curry served with rice and cauliflower

Dessert: Pineapple sorbet

FRIDAY

Main Course: Beef burger served with mashed potato and baked beans

Vegetarian: Quorn beef burger served with mashed potato and baked beans

Dessert: Crispy cake

Bread, butter, jacket potatoes, salad selection & fruit are always available.

Water is served with the meal.

All meat used at school is supplied by local free-range butchers, Oakley Butchers of Merley.
