Year 4/5 Cricket v Buckholme Towers
It was a warm sunny day and we were all raring to go. When Buckholme Towers arrived Mr Schneider said that Buckholme were batting first. So we got into our fielding positions, and the game started. On the first bowl we got a perfect wicket from Tom and a great catch from Kian as wicket keeper.
Tom then got another excellent wicket which gave us a bit of hope. Then Kian and Tom swapped so Kian was bowling and Tom was wicket keeper. He then did an excellent bowl which made the batsman hit his own wicket. We then swapped pairs to Jamie and James. They did some fabulous bowling and got one person out.
We then swapped pairs again to Noel and Jordan who did some fantastic bowling and got two people out which gave us more hope. After that we swapped pairs again to Ollie and Thomas who did some awesome bowling which kept us in the lead a lot of the way. We then swapped again to Chrissie and Sam. They did some exceptional bowling which prevented Buckholme from getting many runs. We then swapped round and Yarrells did some awesome batting and got 54 runs which was 21 more runs than Buckholme.
I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Schneider and Mr Brady for coaching us and the parents for coming to support us.
