Year 2/3’s A & B Teams Both Win Yarrells Football Tournaments

Before the match we were very excited. We did a warm up and penalty shoot-out practice. Moyles Court kicked off, we got the ball and Max scored. 1-0 to Yarrells and by half time it was 2:0. The second half began and Max scored again. HAT TRICK! The final score was 5-0 with Max scoring every goal! Mr Schneider told us that we defended and attacked well. Our next match was against Castle Court. Max and George scored and by the end it was 5-0. Our last game was against Buckholme Towers. Benjamin scored from the halfway line; the final score was 2:0.
We were in the final against Buckholme. Max scored in the first half, then Buckholme equalised. George scored in the second half making it 2-1 to us. We won the tournament and were given medals and I lifted the Trophy.
Mr Schneider was a great manager and has taught us lots in our PE lessons. Thank you Mr Schneider and Mr Brady for helping us. Thank you to the parents for supporting us. We had a great match. And well done to the B team for winning their tournament too!

Year 4 at the BCS Football Tournament
We were all very excited at school waiting in the rain, all ready. Then we set off to BCS. When we got there we chose a bench in the gazebo just by the field and got ready and waited for the other teams to get there.
We started our first match against Talbot House and the final score was 4-0 to us. Then we had a rest and our next match was against Moyles court, which we won 3-1. Then we were playing BCS and we won 3-2. It was a very close game.
In the quarter final we played our Yarrells B team which we won 4-0. Then we were in the semi final against Buckholme Towers, which went into extra time. It was still a draw so we had penalties and won.
We knew we were in the final so we all had a good team talk then we started. We were playing St. Aldhelms. They were all very good. We defended well but the end score was 2-0 to them.
James & Jamie scored some good goals, and max scored with a header. Josh B made some great passes, Josh L-C did some good tackles, and Kieran made some brilliant saves in the penalty shoot-out that helped us get into the final. Well done Yarrells!

Year 7/8 Football v Clayesmore
We were all pumped and ready to go. Clayesmore had centre and they kicked the match off. As soon as the ball was kicked we were on them! After some good passing and great teamwork Ben Whaley dribbled into the box and was taken down. Penalty to Yarrells! Matthew Larter stepped up to the mark and made the goalie pull off an unbelievable save. We kept at it though and Ben Whaley slid a beautiful ball through for Stephen Woolley and he chipped it past the goalie into the back of the net! 1-0 to Yarrells. Clayesmore started to play better and we had to work harder for the ball but with grit and determination we chained up some really good passes. Finally Freddie Powell put it into the box and Matthew Larter just tipped it round the goalie and scored! 2-0 to Yarrells - just before the referee blew for half time!
At half time we were all exhausted so we had some refreshing oranges to pep us up. We started the second half the stronger team and had a few chances to score but couldn’t convert. Then Stephen Woolley tapped a ball through to Ben Whaley who charged up the field and finished in style by blasting it past the goalie. It was nearly full time and Ben Whaley smashed it from outside the box into the far corner! The ref blew for full time and the final score was 4-0 Yarrells.
