Yarrells’ counts 7000 5p pieces to raise £348.03 for NSPCC on Number Day

NSPCC Number Day was a fantastic success, with children across the school enjoying fun maths games and activities designed by our wonderfully creative Senior Prep mathematicians. The levels of engagement in every classroom were truly awesome and we only hope that the photographs do justice to the positive vibe that was clear across the school site… We were also overwhelmed by just how many five pence coins one school community is able to find if it wants to! As members of Years 4, 5 and 6 took time out of Friday Club to count up the coins, it became apparent that we had amassed almost 7,000 5p pieces, meaning that Yarrells is able to donate a significant sum of £348.03 (there were a few rogue coppers thrown into the pot too!) to the NSPCC to support it in funding its valuable projects. Thank you for your generosity!
