Grace wins double gold at Dorset Primary Schools Swim Final

Grace Crowe made Yarrells Preparatory School proud by winning two gold medals in the County Schools Swim Final at Littledown on Saturday evening.

Grace swam exceptionally well in both her 50m breaststroke and 25m butterfly, finishing first in both. Betsy Vavasour, also from Yarrells, gave her all in the 25m fly, touching the wall in third position. The Year 6 boys’ relay team showed really good fight to come through in fourth position.

Yarrells had joined up with the Poole team to compete at the Years 5 & 6 County Schools Swim Final at Littledown. This is a very important event in the school calendar and one that pupils from Yarrells push hard to be selected for. The successful invitees were Grace Crowe, Betsy Vavasour, Loris Seweryn, James Bourne, Oliver Moore and Justus Dirks.

Well done to the Yarrells swimmers for helping add points to the team total. The Poole team were awarded overall winners on the night.
