Yarrells has been delighted to welcome their new Head, Sally Weber-Spokes, who joined the school in September of last year. She has a wealth of experience and expertise in education, having worked in leadership roles both nationally and internationally over the last 20 years. Speaking of her school, she said:
‘Yarrells is a gorgeous school from which happiness and warmth radiate in abundance. Every person working within its walls is deeply committed to the best possible education of young people. Children are living in a rapidly changing world and it is incredibly important to think deeply about and provide the best possible opportunities to help them develop all the skills and qualities they will need for their futures. The children at Yarrells are able to work in a nurturing, supportive and challenging environment, one in which curiosity, collaboration, a love of learning, development of self-confidence and zest for life are woven within each day’s experiences, for all ages.’
Yarrells enjoys an excellent academic reputation and pupils transfer to local grammar schools as well as to senior independent schools within Dorset. The School is sited in a Georgian mansion and purpose-built classrooms. The Greenwood Nursery nestles in a tranquil and secure woodland play area. Yarrells rejoices in its beautiful natural environment of playing fields, woodland and gardens, surrounding a swimming pool, tennis courts, outdoor Science Centre and pupils’ kitchen garden.
Sally Weber-Spokes bubbled with enthusiasm and pride in the school she leads, and extends a warm welcome to any parent considering independent prep education to come and see the beauty of Yarrells for themselves.
