Yarrells’ Double Success at Under 11’s Five-a-side Football Tournament

On a sunny October afternoon, over 50 boys and girls participated in the Yarrells School Under 11 Five-a side Football Tournament in Upton, Poole. As always at Yarrells tournaments, the afternoon was set up as separate, parallel A and B team tournaments, to include a maximum number of participants from each school.

After the group stages it was Yarrells and Castle Court through to the finals in the A team tournament while Yarrells Green played Park Blue in the B team final. The games couldn’t have been closer, but Yarrells edged both finals to finish as double champions!

Yarrells’ PE teacher Gary Schneider commented: “It’s been great to see every team here improving with every match. It’s been a fantastic afternoon for all the children involved.”
