Suez donates saplings for our rewilding project in the West Woods

In an attempt to sharpen our focus on green and climate related projects, the Yarrells estates department are proactive in all matters relating to waste generation, outsourced recycling, in-house recycling and upcycling.
Yarrells Groundsman, Stuart Hill and Yarrells Estates Manager, Eddie Hayes, recently met with representatives from our local waste management depot at Suez to discuss ways in which we could collaborate on better waste management and recycling projects. Because of their direct access to both general and recyclable waste, Suez are able to provide opportunities for us to acquire recycled materials for use on the Yarrells estate. One such example is the supply of old railway sleepers to be turned into raised planting beds in the kitchen garden.
Suez recently donated a number of saplings which are now in our tree nursery awaiting their planting on Earthshot Day this Friday 5th November.
We have over 150 indigenous trees and food producing shrubs which will be planted as part of our West Woods planting and development project.
