Reception Class Admissions – Now Accepting Applications for September 2026 at Yarrells School and Nursery

We are delighted to announce that we are now accepting applications for our Reception Class for September 2026 at Yarrells School and Nursery.

Our Reception year provides a nurturing, stimulating, and joyful start to school life, where every child develops confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning.

At Yarrells, we offer a broad and creative curriculum that includes phonics, maths, music, drama, French, swimming, dance, and tennis. Our specialist teachers and small class sizes ensure each child receives individual attention and support to thrive.

Children also take part in Forest School sessions within our beautiful grounds, encouraging exploration, teamwork, and a strong connection with nature. Outdoor learning is an essential part of our approach — helping children build independence, creativity, and confidence.

Our Reception class consistently exceeds national, BCP, and Dorset averages for the Good Level of Development (GLD) — reflecting the dedication and care that goes into every child’s education.

Funding Information

We accept Early Years Funding during our Nursery and in Reception until your child turns five, allowing families to benefit from government-funded support while experiencing all that Yarrells has to offer.
