Yarrells Nursery in Upton expanding early years provision

A nursery in Dorset is expanding its early years provision to welcome babies from six months old.

The Greenwood building, part of the Yarrells Nursery in Upton, Poole, is marking its 10th anniversary with the announcement of a new baby unit.The building, which was completed in 2016 and designed by Dorset-based architect Adam Covell of ECA, is known for its unique design that integrates indoor and outdoor learning experiences

The new baby unit will open this month, providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for the youngest children.

The development is part of Greenwood's ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive learning experience for children from a young age.Greenwood is part of Yarrells, an independent prep school for boys and girls, and is known for its family-run ethos.The school, which caters to children from nursery through to Year 6, is preparing for its centenary in 2027.

The introduction of the new baby unit is seen as a fitting start to the next century of the school's history.

The Greenwood building has been a home for learning for thousands of children over the past decade, providing experiences in woodland trails, a kitchen garden, and wildlife watching.
