Under 2s Government Funding (from 9 months)
Eligible working parents can claim funded hours from when their baby is 9 months old. Funding rate: £10.49 per hour (April 2026–March 2027). All Day = 7.5 hours (£78.67 funded) · Full Day = 10 hours (£104.90 funded). You only pay consumables on top.
Minimum 3 sessions per week. No term-time only option for Cotton Tails & Kittens.
You will need to provide your own consumables if you opt out of the consumables charge.

Why funding applies between 11:00am–5:00pm
As a school-based nursery, we're able to offer children extra enrichment activities such as Forest School, Swimming, Dance, Drama and French, that go beyond what government funding covers. Because these sit outside the scope of funded childcare, we run them between 8:00am and 11:00am, so every nursery child benefits from them as part of their day.
Government funding (set by Dorset Council) then applies from 11:00am–5:00pm (up to 6 hours per day), covering core nursery education and care, with optional extras such as hot lunch and consumables available at an additional cost during this time.

Holiday care discount
Book more than 15 hours a week during school holidays and receive 7.5% off ad-hoc session prices. Available exclusively to term-time pupils. Sessions must be booked in advance.

Securing Your Child’s Place
To secure your child's place at Yarrells and confirm the booking of their sessions, a deposit is required at the time of enrolment. This deposit will be invoiced to you as part of the enrolment process, should you choose to proceed. Provided at least six weeks' notice is given in line with our Terms and Conditions (signed at enrolment), the deposit is refundable — it will also be returned once your final bill has been settled following your child's departure from Yarrells.
Please note the deposit cannot be paid using childcare vouchers or Tax-Free Childcare accounts.
