The successful candidate will demonstrate an unfailing commitment to excellence in teaching, outstanding organisational skills, deep subject knowledge and a dedication to ensuring every child makes meaningful progress in computing within our inspiring learning environment. The Head of Computing is a key post-holder within the school. You will lead the development and delivery of a high-quality computing curriculum from Year 1 to Year 6, working alongside dedicated practitioners to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning in digital literacy, computer science and the effective use of technology. You will oversee a rich and engaging programme that promotes creativity, problem-solving, computational thinking and responsible digital citizenship. Computing sits at the heart of preparing our children for the modern world, and at Yarrells we are passionate about inspiring curiosity, confidence and competence in the use of technology. A huge thank you to @treehouse_theatre_bournemouth and former Yarrells pupil William for joining us today! It was wonderful to hear how Yarrells inspired William on his professional acting journey, and in turn how he now inspires so many of our current pupils. His story is a brilliant example of why performing arts play such a special and important role at Yarrells. The children were absolutely captivated by the fantastic performance! They excitedly shared their favourite characters and moments, with highlights including the "6 ... 7"... we're sure parents will know this one well!

Christmas Carol Concert at Wimborne Minster Last week, our Year 4–6 pupils took part in our annual Christmas Carol Concert at Wimborne Minster. It was a wonderful celebration, filled with beautiful singing from everyone. We also enjoyed some lovely readings throughout the evening. The children’s enthusiasm and dedication shone through, making this another truly memorable occasion. A huge thank you to Ms Stocken, whose boundless energy and enthusiasm make it possible to put on such high-quality performances across the whole school. We are grateful to all the staff who contributed, including a surprise staff join-in during the performance of Feliz Navidad! Well done and thank you to all the children who performed so brilliantly, and to our families who joined us.
